Nicole Wong refutes Ong Kian Ming’s allegations
I have not
done anything in the past that I cannot disclose to the public. The reason I
studied for my MBA is to improve my own knowledge but not to improve my social
status. I believe I have obtained my MBA through the proper channel and I would
consider to further my studies again if time and money permits.
There is nothing for me to hide regarding my service to the
people or about my Masters in Business Administration. My qualifications and
credentials are correct and I have never tried to conceal anything before I was
nominated as an election candidate. Even after my appointment, I had informed
the media about my MBA.
I have been working hard to serve the
people in Seputeh area for the past 2 years. I ask the people to judge me by my
commitment and sincerity. “
My MBA was obtained after 2 years of hard work and
going through the proper channels. Within this 2-year period, I had to attend
classes and submit my assignments every month. If I was unable to attend any
classes, I had to make an appointment with the school’s liaison officer and
other related authorities to ensure that my assignment can be submitted at a
later time.
I have a Professional Diploma in Tourism Management
from Reliance College, and I had to study part-time while gaining working
experience so that I could gain admission to study for my MBA. I had to work to
look after my family before I graduated from my university, and that is why I
was forced to study part-time. Many people are aware that it is difficult to
study part-time, and that one must have great perseverance to complete their
studies.
I question the motives of this person who spreads
rumours about me and I am aware that this was done deliberately to defame me.
But in any case, I will reserve the right to pursue legal action against this
person. However, I also hope that this person will spend his time more wisely
in trying to behave responsibly instead of focusing on destroying other
people’s reputations.
DAP election strategist Ong Kian Ming must be
desperate to come up with such baseless accusations, and I have no doubt that
his real intention is to win votes through the usage of cheap propaganda. This
time spent by him to fabricate such lies should be better used in working to
provide service to the people.
Since Ong is also a fellow candidate in the coming
General Elections, as such I strongly advise him to focus more on serving the
community and bringing benefits to the people instead of working towards
destroying and slandering the reputation of Barisan Nasional candidates.
For now, I will not respond to such allegations as I
believe that it is a waste of time to be involved in such lies. As the BN
candidate for Seputeh, I believe that it would be more practical for me to
focus on gaining strength and knowledge so I can better serve the people.
